Hi i am wondering if getting chinese symbols tattooed in color other then black is disrespectful?
Im getting the chinses symbols for family tattooed on my upper arm close to my shoulder with my familys initials underneath it , and im just wondering if i got them to color the symbol a different color other then blakc if im being disrespectful to the chinese culture. Also what color would you recommend for the symbol, i am a woman of 33 my husband has symbols that are black and i like them but i would prefer mine to be brighter. i was thinking if its not disrespectful to do my tattoo in purple or a vivid blue. Thank you for your time.
I have beauty on my ankle in Chinese letters I had it put there for my granddaughter also her name in English bailey is her name then under it I have the Chinese letters done in black and out lined in red and it looks great I don’t believe it’s disrespectful if you notice anything in Chinese like calenders, ornaments and etc. have the colours red and gold also the stone jade comes in red or green and they make there budda’s out of it in charm size to were around neck or whatever. I hope this helps. I have 6 tattoo’s and red is the best colour to add to them they last longer it doesn’t fade as fast and just one other thing keep them away from the sun the sun fades them big time!!!!!!!!!!!
