Tattoo Ideas for Survival,Love, or strength…?

I am looking to get my first tattoo, but I don’t want something that will loose meaning and seem dumb when I hit year 30,40,50,ect…

I don’t want anything to big. It will be placed on the back of my right shoulder more than likely.

I don’t want animals or huge Chinese pictures.
Some ideas I have are that it be related to mexican origins, for I am 50% mexican. Tha it be a symbol instead of a word. And that it will be in black and white.

Any ideas would help. Give me as many links and choices as you want. Also, dont stick to my ideas. give me a wide variety of your ideas. Thanks.
